Bay Path College One America 2012

Bay Path College is a progressive, private woman's college in New England. Students are known by name and not a number on our campus. We offer a broad array of experiential opportunities to augment your in-class learning. Experiences range from internships to international, semester-long travel to short-term U.S. travel such as this 3 credit class and community service project on wheels.

We are The New American Woman's College. Hope you'll hop on board with us some year!

Ghost Tour

No visit to America's most haunted city would be complete without a ghost tour. Ours is a two hour walking tour. We hear many tales of unexplained sightings and murder. The Mercer house from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is included. The number of tragedies associated with this house makes it hard to fathom why Jim Williams' sister still lives in the house.

We are encouraged by the guide to take photos of windows to see if orbs or unexplained shadows appear. You be the judge.

The Pirate House

Dinner this evening comes complete with a swashbuckling pirate who describes the history of the several buildings that now make up the restaurant- one of which is the oldest building in Savannah. Tunnels under the building used to lead all the way to the river some several thousand feet away.

Bonaventure Cemetery

The cemetery is located on more than 100 acres. Johnny Mercer and Conrad Aiken are two of the most well-known people buried on this site.

Route to River Street

This is how steep the stairs are leading to the Savannah waterfront.

Rest of group

At Huey's. Fabulous beignets with praline sauce, shrimp and grits, praline cheesecake, bread pudding, good eating.

Lunch at Huey's

Fabulous New Orleans cuisine.

Marshall House

Breakfast in the hotel atrium. It is 66 degrees and sunny. Sorry!

Arrive in Savannah

After the hike up Stone Mt. We watch Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (after reading the book for class)to get some good juju for Savannah.

Only a cut out of Paula Deen greets us at The Lady and Sons for dinner. So disappointing!
